A big welcome this week to our new Head Chef - John Nelan. With wide and varied experience in Ireland and overseas, John brings a new dimension to the kitchen here at the County Arms Hotel. He'll have a busy time in the coming months with new menus promised for Bar 62 this week and then subsequently a new menu for Cooke's Restaurant and of course Private Dining, Sunday Lunch, Room Service, breakfast and more. As with any Hotel worth its salt, the quality of Food at the County Arms Hotel is the single most important element. Whilst we're lucky to have such a beautiful property, there's no point opening the door if you can't deliver an exciting food product. Most people who visit the County Arms Hotel sample our food at some stage, whether Wedding guests enjoying a banquet, overnight business travelers using the County Arms breakfast to start their day or 'passing traffic' stopping for a coffee and homemade scone. Obviously, if the food's not right, you won't come back so we'll look forward to titillating the tastebuds of our guests in the weeks and months ahead. Look out for menus online also before Christmas which will give a real insight into John's cooking and the skills which he is already passing on to his excellent team.
