Equestrian
Equestrian packages with the County Arms Hotel are run in conjunction with Birr Equestrian Centre. The Cosgrave family has been catering to riders and horse enthusiasts for over thirty years under the direction of Noel Cosgrave and his team of dedicated instructors. The centre is A.I.R.E. approved and the instructors certified by the British Horse Society. The facilities at Birr Equestrian Centre have been designed with the discerning equestrian in mind. Indoor and outdoor arenas (measuring 160' x 60' and 180' x 80' respectively) allow riding throughout the year regardless of weather conditions. The two storey reception building is equipped with all modern conveniences including toilets, showers and changing rooms. Friends and family are encouraged to take advantage of the viewing room located on the second storey which overlooks both of the arenas.
Pony camps run between July and August each week Monday - Friday inclusive and various school breaks Christmas, Easter and Halloween. Children and teenagers of all levels are welcome. 6 to 16 years of age.
