Temporary Hotel Closure
For the Safety of our Guests, our Team & our Community
In response to the Government moving Offaly to level 3 of the National Framework for living with Covid-19, we have decided that the County Arms Hotel Birr will close until further notice.
We have made this decision with great regret, as it will have a serious impact on the livelihoods of all our colleagues and the opportunities of our customers to celebrate special occasions with family & friends.
While level 3 does allow us to remain open for overnight guests from within our county, we have made the decision to close as we fail to see how the distance of travel of our guests has any significant impact on the risk of transmission of the infection. The safety of our colleagues, our customers and our community are always our priority.
We are disappointed for all of you who had planned to visit us during this period. If we haven’t spoken already to rebook for alternative dates, we will soon. We are committed to ensure that while Covid-19 may have delayed your treat or happy occasion, that it doesn’t deny you the opportunity to make those happy memories.
Over the coming weeks, reservations will be available to take your calls on Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am & 5pm on +353 57 9120791. You may also visit our excellent website www.countyarmshotel.com to view our special offers and make your reservations. Our best value breaks are always found on our own website.
This is a very difficult time for everyone.
We have decided to go above & beyond that required of us in order to ensure that we play our part to support our community to supress the virus and protect those in the front line. Hopefully, our actions now will ensure that we can all enjoy a happy Christmas experience with family & friends.
We would like to thank all of you who have been so supportive of our decisions and encourage everyone to do a little more than is asked – it will help us to beat this thing.
We look forward to a happier time when we can again welcome you to the hotel and sincerely hope that until then, you and families can stay safe & well.
Barry & Conor Loughnane.
