Q. What is your capacity for Weddings?
A. We can accommodate a small intimate wedding of 25 to 50 guests in our Georgian rooms on the first floor overlooking the garden with open turf fires - to weddings of approx. 350 guests in the stunning Moorpark Suite.
Q. Can you accommodate Civil Ceremonies?
A. We are Approved for Civil & Humanist Ceremonies and Blessings. To register your ceremony in Offaly, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 057 9315957. We can provide you with a number of Wedding Celebrants & Registered Solemisers, just reach out to us.
Q. How can my guests book their accommodation at County Arms Hotel?
A. When you book your wedding with us, we will hold an agreed number of bedrooms for your wedding guests. They simply contact us via telephone or email and give their names and they will be allocated the wedding guest rate.
Q. Do we have access to the gardens for photographs?
A. On your wedding day you have full access to all the Hotel’s amenities, the west lawn is ideal for group photographs and the walled garden in full bloom in the summer months is beautiful, the gazabo with the open turf fire and hanging vines make for stunning unique wedding shots any time of the year.
Q. Do you have alternatives for cold wet days?
A. The Maple Room on the Georgian first floor with its floor-to-ceiling Georgian windows is flooded with light all year round, take a seat by the fire while your photographer captures your day.
Q. Are we allowed Music for our Arrivals Reception?
A. We encourage it – it’s a lovely way to entertain your wedding guests while you and your wedding party are having your photographs taken – we can book music for you on request or provide you with a list of preferred suppliers.
Q. Do you have a preferred list of suppliers?
A. Yes, we have a list of trustworthy suppliers that we would recommend, and all would be familiar with the Hotel and the running of your wedding day.
Q. What is included in the decoration of the Moorpark Suite?
A. As part of our wedding package the Moorpark Suite is fully decorated, from the mirrored centrepieces, silver candelabras filled with church candles to create a magical atmosphere, and flower displays on crisp linen set tables to the Chiavari Chairs and fresh flower arrangements throughout the Hotel.
The fairy-lit white backdrop behind the stage and the ceiling fairy-lit swag over the dancefloor will sparkle throughout the evening while you dance the night away.
We also have the popular Flower wall that can be displayed for your guests to enjoy taking selfies – a nice idea is to set up a hashtag of your wedding day and guests can upload their own photos to it allowing you and your partner to enjoy going back over the memories.
We also have a sweet cart and can provide the sweets, or you can order online with a number of the sweet companies and have them delivered straight to the Hotel.
Q. Do you cater for Vegetarian, Vegan, and other dietary requirements?
A. We provide many options for Vegetarians and Vegans; all our sauces are coeliac friendly – just let us know and we are happy to accommodate you and your guests' requirements.
